Concert Conversations with Composers
For this broadcast, Molly is performing solo piano music of John Corigliano, John Harbison, and Andrew Waggoner. All three composers will be on hand to discuss their works followed by live performances in front of a studio audience. Molly continues her Nocturne Project with a world premiere of Andrew Waggoner's "Nocturne" paired with Chopin's Nocturne Op 9, No 3. She is also presenting the world premiere of John Harbison's "Bag of Tails: Codas for solo piano- Movement 6--entitled and written for her "Molly Morkoski". She is delighted and honored to present both of these new works on this broadcast. Along with Harbison's newest work, she will also present his "Leonard Stein Anagrams." About the Festival
The Composers Now Festival celebrates living composers, the diversity of their voices and the significance of their musical contributions to our society. During the month of February, the Festival brings together dozens of performances presented by venues, ensembles, orchestras, opera companies, dance companies and many other innovative events throughout New York City.
